Deep Learning for Data Analytics
Christina Lioma studied Computer Science at the Universities of Manchester (MSc with Distinction in 2004) and Glasgow (PhD in 2007). Between
2008-2011 she was a postdoctoral researcher at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and DTU Compute.
In 2012 she was awarded a Freja Research Excellence Fellowship from UCPH and was appointed assistant professor at DIKU, where she founded the Information Retrieval Lab. As of 2014 she is associate professor at DIKU.
Christina’s main research area is Information Retrieval. Currently, she is particularly interested in the theory, efficient implementation, and application of:
- large scale (big data) semantic processing,
- web search, mining and analytics,
- deep learning.
