Finn Cilius Nielsen 1960. Professor, Head of Genomic Medicine, Rigshospitalet, University of Copenhagen.  Finn has a longstanding background in RNA biology and clinical molecular biology. The research has been focused on the understanding of gene expression and cancer biology.

In 2010 Finn established Rigshospitalet’s Center for Genomic Medicine. The Department is currently one of the largest providers of genomic analyses in Denmark with a focus on precision medicine and integrative cancer diagnostics as well as WES analysis of rare diseases.

Finn is former Head of the Danish Medical Research Council and presently a member of the NOVO Foundation Committee for Natural and Medical Sciences and chairman of the Alfred Benzon Foundation.
